Morley Library 125th Anniversary Book Discussion

Morley Library 125th Anniversary Book Discussion In-Person

We're OFF to celebrate Morley Library's 125th anniversary by reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written 125 years ago by L. Frank Baum.

As Dorothy is swept away by a cyclone from her gray Kansas home, she finds herself in the vibrant and fantastical land of Oz. Guided by the yellow brick road, she encounters a host of unforgettable characters, each with their own unique desires and challenges. The Scarecrow longs for a brain, the Tin Man for a heart, and the Cowardly Lion for courage. Together, they embark on an odyssey to the Emerald City, where the mysterious Wizard of Oz is said to grant their deepest wishes.

" The funniest - the handsomest - the most elaborate child's book ever published." - The New York Times, 1900.

"America's greatest and best-loved homegrown fairy tale ... one of the most-read children's books." - Library of Congress.

Copies of this book will be available for pick up at Morley Library's checkout desk beginning Monday, July 29.
