SUMMARY:National Poetry Month Contest: Limerick
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Poetry Month with us by entering our 
 limerick poetry contest for a chance to win a prize!  A limerick is a 
 (usually humorous) five line poem with a bouncy and fun 
 rhythm.\n\n\n	Adults and teens ages 13 and up can submit entries in person 
 on the 3rd floor or via email to ref@morleylibrary.org. \n\n	\n		Please 
 note  "Limerick Poetry Contest" in the subject line.\n	\n	\n	Only one entry 
 per participant please.\n	Be sure to include your name\, age group\,  and 
 contact information.\n	Scroll down for tips on writing a limerick 
 \n\n\nEarly submissions begin: March 25\, 2024.\n\nContest runs from April 
 1 – April 15\, 2024\n\nEntries will be displayed on the 3rd 
 floor.\n\nVoting will take place from April 17- May 1.\n\nWinners will be 
 announced and contacted by May 7.\n\nWe can't wait to see and share your 
 creations! \n\nHow to write a limerick:\n\n\n	Write five lines\n	The rhyme 
 scheme is aabba.  (Lines 1\, 2\, and 5 rhyme with each other. Lines 3 and 4 
 rhyme with each other..)\n	The rhythm is anapestic (two unstressed followed 
 by one stressed syllable)\n	\n		Lines 1\,2 and 5 will have three stressed 
 syllables (da dum da da dum da da dum)\n		Lines 3 and 4 will have two 
 stressed syllables (da dum da da dum)\n	\n	\n	Limericks are funny! Have
